At Titan Early Learning, keeping children safe isn’t a policy we point to, it’s the foundation everything else is built on.
Every child who walks through our doors deserves to feel protected, valued and free to be themselves. That belief shapes our culture, our training and the way our educators show up for children every single day.
Child safety is not simply something we uphold. It is something we believe in deeply, and it shapes our culture, our relationships and the way we show up for children every single day. Titan Early Learning is proud to be a Child Safe Organisation. From our Gumnut Nursery through to Kangaroo Kindergarten, we create warm, secure environments where children feel confident to explore, express themselves and ask for help whenever they need it.
We hold a zero-tolerance approach to any form of harm, abuse or neglect, and every member of our team is guided by their responsibilities under the National Quality Framework, the Victorian Child Safe Standards and Titan’s own child protection policies.
Safety at Titan isn’t a single policy — it’s woven into the way we design our rooms, plan our routines and train our people. It’s reflected in how educators bend down to a child’s eye level, how they respond to a wobble on the climbing frame, and how they listen when something feels off.
We regularly review our practices against the latest Child Safe Standards and mandatory training requirements, so our approach to keeping children safe never stands still.
”Titan feels like home, and in a home every child is watched over, listened to and kept safe.
— Titan Early Learning
Child safety is everyone’s responsibility. It’s reflected in how children are heard, how our spaces are built and how safety is woven into learning itself.
Our educators listen carefully to children’s words, actions and body language, supporting them to express how they’re feeling, understand personal boundaries, identify trusted adults and speak up when something doesn’t feel right.
Our educators build respectful relationships where children feel known and supported, modelling kindness, empathy and appropriate boundaries so children feel confident to seek help.
We consider children’s safety across every part of our service, from supervision and routines to excursions and digital environments, regularly reviewing our spaces while still giving children room to explore.
Through age-appropriate conversations, stories and play, children build an understanding of personal boundaries, consent, safe and unsafe situations, and how to ask for help.
Child safety begins with strong leadership and is upheld through the actions of every person working within our service.
We take careful steps to ensure the people working with children are suitable and committed to child safety, including current Working with Children Checks, verified and maintained throughout employment.
All educators are trained in the Child Safe Standards, mandatory reporting, recognising and responding to concerns, professional boundaries, cultural safety and online safety.
We operate in accordance with the Education and Care Services National Law, the National Quality Framework and the Child Safe Standards, reviewing our policies as requirements evolve.
Every team member puts children’s safety first, listens to children’s voices, maintains appropriate boundaries, and speaks up when something doesn’t feel right.
Families are an important part of a child-safe community. When families and educators work together, we build a stronger network of trusted adults around every child.
We want children, families and educators to feel safe to speak up. Concerns about a child’s safety or wellbeing are always taken seriously, and we respond in line with our legal responsibilities and policies.
